If your fridge-freezer does not have a water filter, you can retro-fit this kit. It will make the water & ice taste much better, remove particles and also removes 99.5% of cryptosporidium and Gardia cysts.
Being a slim design it can fit alongside or behind the fridge.

The kit uses the standard water filter '481281729632' that fits the Whirlpool range.

Will fit all makes of Fridge freezers with a 1/4" entry pipe
